Shopping is one of the many activities San Sebastian has to offer. In the city centre there are a great variety of shops of all sizes, which you can easily spend an afternoon exploring.

Of course, you’ll see all of the major high street brands which you’d expect to find in any large Spanish city, including Zara, Springfield, Massimo Dutti , Adolfo Dominguez and Pull and Bear. All of these shops are in the city centre, on Calle Fuenterrabía and Avenida de la Libertad. The Zara store in the San Martín shopping centre is one of the busiest in the whole of Spain.

As well as these big names found in cities all over the country, San Sebastian is also home to many smaller, independent retailers. Really, it is these which give the city its charm, allowing visitors to find something a little bit different. In Plaza del Buen Pastor you’ll also find a few interesting clothes shops, such as the boutique Whim, which stocks an array of unique party dresses at a reasonable price.

In Calle Loyola, you’ll see the accessory shop Arbelaitz. Carry on a little, and on the corner with Avenida de la Libertad you’ll come to Ayestarán, a sizeable shoe shop stocking a range of top brands.

If you need a swimwear boutique, look no further than Calle San Bartolomé, where you’ll find ladies’ swimwear shop Goiuri. Next door, there is a surf store called Hawaii. Here, you can buy everything you need to surf, as well as a range of young, trendy swimwear.

If you’re looking for something special and money is no object, why not visit Auzmendi, where you will find fashion and accessories from top brands, including Prada, Just Cavalli and Versace. The shop itself is beautiful and can be found at Nº30 Avenida de la Libertad. Another option is Berriz at 21 Calle Fuenterrabía.

Some of these shops sit alongside the big high street brands on the two streets mentioned above, but you will discover many more if you let yourself get lost in the side streets surrounding these two major avenues.

Let´s go shopping
