Hondarribia<\/a> or Fuenterrab\u00eda, is one of the most characteristic villages near Donosti and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. Located on the western shore of the Bay of Txingudi, it borders almost with France, being one of the border towns that separate Spain from France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the center of the town, its port and the beach are worth visiting. But Hondarribia also has some of the best pintxo bars and restaurants in Guipuzcoa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a cider restaurant where you can try the best quality grilled fish and meat. Jon, the cook, is a grill master and an expert in meat maturation, a subject in which they are specialists. You can eat in the main dining room or in the cider house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is one of the references of Hondarribia’s cuisine. In it we can enjoy a pleasant meal at a good price. Its terrace is spectacular and on sunny days it is well worth having a drink there. To emphasize between its plates as much the Sea bass as the Turbot. If you have a sweet tooth you can not miss the caramelized torrija with rice pudding ice cream. Undoubtedly the best I’ve ever tasted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another of the great restaurants in the area. The price is a little higher than Arroka Berri but it is well worth it. The restaurant has a Michelin star. For those who prefer to know in advance how much their meal will cost, the restaurant has 3 menus of 35\u20ac, 50\u20ac and 80\u20ac (wine not included).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a nice restaurant located in a traditional Basque house. The decoration of the place is very cozy and makes you feel at home when enjoying the food. The menu is very varied and extensive and you will have no trouble finding something that suits your palate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking for an intimate and cozy place to celebrate an intimate evening the Sebastian is definitely a recommended place. It is a very cozy place with excellent cuisine. In addition, it has small reserved dining rooms to make the dinner more intimate if desired. It is located in the same town of Hondarrib\u00eda and it is another recommended place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
