In the few years since it opened, the Zinema 7 hotel has become one of the city’s landmark hotels. Built in a former cinema, it has come to set a benchmark for accommodation in San Sebastian, and is one of the city’s most popular hotels as it offers excellent value for money.
Cinema hotel
The hotel draws inspiration from San Sebastian film festival. Its owners, who used to run the building as a cinema, wanted to maintain its relationship with the art of the silver screen, and dedicated each of its rooms to a different actor or director who has visited San Sebastian in the past.
All rooms are completely soundproofed and air conditioned, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep for guests. They also benefit from free Wi-Fi access, plasma televisions with satellite channels and safety deposit boxes.
In short, the Astoria 7 is a modern hotel with contemporary decor in excellent location, just 100 metres from the city bus station and a 20 minute walk from La Concha beach and the Old Town.
There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel which takes you to the Old Town in just five minutes. Tickets cost €1.60 and the route number is 28 (Amara – Hospitaleak)
Guests also have use of an underground car park, so drivers have no need to worry about where to park.
